Game notes heading into the contest:

About the MSU-JSU Series
The series was tied at eight, but since Tom Hodges took over the MSU program, MSU has won the last five games to take a 13-8 lead. The Eagles have won five of the last six times the teams have played in Morehead.

Last Time Out
Sophomore guard Almesha Jones erupted for 30 points, her third 30-point outburst this year, but Tennessee Tech shot 50 percent and raced past MSU 84-70 Saturday at Johnson Arena. Junior guard Terrice Robinson added a team and career-high seven assists along with 16 points.

Downtown Bombers
The Eagles hit 7.5 triples per game to rank second in the OVC. MSU averages 24 three-point attempts per game to rank second in the league behind only UT Martin. MSU has only five games with less than 20 three-pointers attempted.

Like Clockwork
A staple of MSU’s offense - even with two separate head coaches in the last six years - has been three-point shooting. With six more three-pointers made this season, the Eagles will reach the 200 mark for the sixth consecutive season.

That’s a Lot of 30s
Almesha Jones and Terrice Robinson have combined for five 30-point efforts this season, which gives MSU the most 30-point games in the OVC. It also marks the most MSU 30-point performances in a season since 2010-11.

Miss Robinson
Terrice Robinson leads MSU and ranks fourth in the OVC in scoring at 17.4 points per game. She has reached double figures in 22 of the Eagles’ 26 games. Robinson has scored 20 or more points nine times and 30 or more twice. She has led the team in the point column 16 times. In OVC games, Robinson averages 18.9 points.

The 400 Club
Terrice Robinson is just the 13th player in school history to reach the 400-point plateau for a season. She currently ranks tied for 18th on the MSU season scoring list. In the OVC this year, she is among five players to score 400 or more.

Keeping Up With the Jones
Almesha Jones has been a jack-of-all-trades player for MSU this season. She ranks second in scoring (11.3) but leads MSU and ranks fourth in the league in assists (109) and second in steals (70).

Dishing the Dimes
Almesha Jones has recorded 11 games with five or more assists.

Mac Attack
Mackenzie Arledge tallied a career-high 12 points at Belmont Feb. 4. In the last three games, she has averaged 8.3 rebounds and 6.3 points per outing.
