MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State's women's basketball team embarks upon a crucial season-ending road trip this week when the Eagles face Tennessee State and Tennessee Tech. MSU begins the trip Thursday at TSU. A special afternoon tipoff time is set for 1 p.m. ET.
MSU (9-19/5-9 OVC) needs to win both games to have a chance at an Ohio Valley Conference Tournament berth. The Eagles are two games behind TSU in the win column heading into the week, and TSU (11-14/7-7 OVC) has already topped MSU once this season.
The Eagles will face Tech on Saturday at 6:15 p.m.

Game notes heading into the contest:
Last Time Out
Junior guard Terrice Robinson scored 18 points and Morehead State once led 14-2, but visiting Murray State held the Eagles to two field goal during a 17-minute span and won 56-48 Monday night.
Free Throw Success
MSU is currently shooting 73.3 percent at the free throw line this season as a team. If that mark holds up, it would be the best team free throw accuracy since 2001-02 when that group of Eagles finished the year at 73.7 percent.
Ice in Our Veins
In the last six games, the Eagles are 70-of-79 from the free throw line. That’s 89 percent efficiency.
Downtown Bombers
The Eagles hit 7.5 triples per game to rank second in the OVC and 16th nationally. MSU averages more than 24 three-point attempts per game to rank second in the league behind only UT Martin. MSU has only five games with less than 20 three-pointers attempted and five with 30 or more launches from distance.
Over 200 Threes...Again
A staple of MSU’s offense - even with two separate head coaches in the last six years - has been three-point shooting. MSU has 211 triples this season, the sixth straight season the team has nailed at least 200 three-pointers.
That’s a Lot of 30s
Sophomore guard Almesha Jones and Terrice Robinson have combined for five 30-point efforts this season, which gives MSU the most 30-point games in the OVC. It also marks the most MSU 30-point performances in a season since 2010-11.
Miss Robinson
Terrice Robinson leads MSU and ranks fourth in the OVC in scoring at 17.3 points per game. She has reached double figures in 24 of the Eagles’ 28 games. Robinson has scored 20 or more points nine times and 30 or more twice. She has led the team in the point column 17 times. In OVC games, Robinson averages 18.5 points.
The 400 Club
Terrice Robinson is just the 13th player in school history to reach the 400-point plateau for a season. She currently ranks 17th on the MSU season scoring list. In the OVC this year, she is among five players to score 400 or more.
Keepin Up With the Jones
Almesha Jones leads the team in assists (114) and steals (70). Her steal total ranks fourth on the MSU single season chart.
Turning Heads
Junior guard Allie Turner scorched the nets for a career-high 28 points on Feb. 18 versus Jacksonville State. That included eight three-pointers as she fell just one shy of the school single-game record of nine held by former teammate Chynna Bozeman and 90s standout Sherita Joplin.
Now Thats a 10
In the last 10 games, Allie Turner has averaged 11 points per game and shot 51 percent overall (36-of-71) and 51 percent (30-of-59) from three-point range.
