CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- After winning its last two Ohio Valley Conference series, the Morehead State baseball team travels to Austin Peay on Friday, looking to continue its conference hot streak.
The Eagles (15-31, 9-12 OVC) sit in seventh place in the conference standings and are in the hunt for the final OVC Tournament bid. The Governors (32-13, 13-7) sit in fourth place with four OVC series wins on the season.
First pitch on Friday has been moved up to 5 p.m. ET, with a 3 p.m. game on Saturday before the 2 p.m. series finale on Sunday. Links to live stats and audio for the series are scheduled to be available on MSUEagles.com.
A few notes heading into the series:
• Austin Peay enters the series with a 32-13 record on the season. The Governors have won OVC series against Eastern Illinois, Jacksonville State, Murray State and Belmont.
• Sophomore first baseman
Kane Sweeney has reached base in 37 straight games for the Eagles, the longest such streak for MSU this season. The last, and only, game he failed to reach base was on Feb. 16 at Louisville.
• Sophomore right fielder
Brandon Rawe has picked up multiple hits in seven of MSU’s last nine contests, raising his batting average by 72 points over that span, to .298.

Sweeney leads the team in batting average after 46 games, at .366. He ranks third in the OVC in batting average, and first in both total hits (64) and on-base percentage (.462).
• Senior shortstop
Chase Greenwell (.326) is the only other everyday position player hitting above .300. He has the most multiple-hit games by an Eagle with 23, while driving in multiple runs in eight different contests.
• Junior right-hander
Dan Hyatt has picked up a win out of the bullpen in each of the Eagles’ last two OVC series.
