MOREHEAD, Ky. --
Morehead State junior Michael Jackson has been named the Pioneer Football League's Defensive Back of the Week by the College Football Performance Awards.

Jackson registered four tackles and two interceptions on Saturday at PFL opponent Jacksonville.  He became the first Eagle to record two interceptions in a game since Nov. 21, 2009.

A native of Cincinnati, Jackson ranks second on the team in tackles with 16 on the year.  He has also collected 1 1/2 tackles for loss, one sack, one pass break-up and one blocked kick.

Jackson is one of just four PFL players who have tallied two interceptions this season.

Morehead State returns to Jayne Stadium on Saturday when it hosts Ohio Valley Conference foe Eastern Kentucky at 7 p.m. ET.  The Eagles will play six of their last nine games at home.
