MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The Morehead State football team will look to get back on the winning track this Saturday at Dayton. Game time at Welcome Stadium is set for 1 p.m. ET.
The Eagles (2-4, 1-2 Pioneer Football League) have dropped two straight games. The Flyers (4-1, 2-0) have won three consecutive games, including a PFL-record five-overtime win at Davidson two weeks ago.

INSIDE THE DAYTON SERIES
Saturday marks the 20th meeting in the MSU-Dayton series, which the Flyers lead 14-5. Dayton has won the last five meetings, including a 42-14 win in Morehead last year. MSU's closest call came in 2011 when Dayton escaped with a 30-28 win. The last MSU victory, 14-13, came in 2008 in Dayton.
CROWD SUPPORT
Morehead State leads the Pioneer Football League in home attendance. MSU's first three games have drawn an average of 6,833 fans.
LOTS 'O LAUNDRY
In the last two games, Morehead State's opponents have been flagged a combined 27 times for 273 yards.
FINAL SEASON
After having just six seniors in 2013, Morehead State has 10 this season. The senior class includes offensive players Rees Macshara, Brandon Bornhauser, Lawrence Massey, Cyrus Strahm, Kitaro Lewis and Joshua Brunner. Defensive seniors include Morris Henry, Mike Jackson and Justin Cox. Luke Boyd is the lone senior specialist.
THE RUSHING GAME CATCHES UP
For the first time in the last 12 outings, Morehead State's rushing game outgained its passing game. Against Jacksonville, the Eagles recorded 216 yards on the ground and 144 through the air. The last time that happened was Sept. 28, 2013, against Davidson.
OVER 3,000
Austin Gahafer moved above the 3,000-yard mark for his career in the game at Eastern Kentucky. In 17 games, he has thrown for 3,765 yards (221.5 per game) and 22 touchdowns.
THE MAC ATTACK
Senior running back Rees Macshara has rushed for more than 100 yards in two of the last three games. He ran for a season-best 129 yards on 27 carries at Davidson and added 110 yards on 26 totes versus Campbell.
YOU CAN COUNT ON HIM
Senior offensive lineman Joshua Brunner has made 32 consecutive starts dating back to the 2011 season. The last time Brunner did not start was Oct. 22, 2011, versus Dayton.
FIT TO BE TY
Junior quarterback Tyler Rice entered the Jacksonville game in the third quarter and led the Eagles on three scoring drives. He finished with 104 passing yards and a score through the air while adding 48 rushing yards with a touchdown.
THE KELLER INSTINCT
Junior linebacker Luke Keller leads Morehead State with 42 total tackles, including 24 solo stops. He also forced two fumbles in the Pikeville (Ky.) contest.
NOT COOPED UP ANYMORE
After having just one tackle for loss in the first three games, junior defensive lineman Ronald Cooper has erupted for seven stops in the backfield in the last three games. He has 27.5 career tackles for negative yardage.
CASEY AT THE BAT
Sophomore defensive lineman Dustin Casey recorded career-highs of 3.5 tackles for loss (for 18 yards) and two sacks (for 16 yards) versus Jacksonville. He also leads the defense with three quarterback hurries this season.
PICKIN PARLOR
The defense has recorded five interceptions in the first five games. Senior safety Mike Jackson has two this year and seven for his career. Junior corner back Trey Watkins notched his third career interception in the Jacksonville contest.
GOOD LUKE CHARM
Senior kicker Luke Boyd has nailed 18-of-19 point-after tries this year. His PAT percentage ranks first in the PFL. He also has six field goals this year and is 15-of-20 in his career.
SHAVI BASHES THE BALL
Freshman kicker Shavi Bash has handled the kickoff duties this year. He averages 55.0 yards per boot and has landed three touchbacks.
PAT THE PUNTER
Sophomore Pat DiSalvio averaged a season-best 40.5 yards on four punts against Jacksonville. He is averaging 37.9 yards this year.
