MOREHEAD, Ky. -- It will be a battle of Eagles Monday night at Tennessee Tech's Eblen Center. The Morehead State women's basketball team faces the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles at 7 p.m. ET.
MSU (8-12, 4-3 Ohio Valley Conference) will be searching for its second straight win in the TTU series. Tech (5-16, 2-6 OVC) lost a 97-93 doube-overtime affair to Eastern Kentucky Saturday. While TTU has slumped to a 1-11 mark away from Cookeville in 2014-15, it is 3-4 at home.
The contest finishes a three-game league road venture for Morehead State. The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday at home for the Eastern Kentucky doubleheader. The women's game kicks off the action at 2 p.m.

The Series
• Tennessee Tech holds a 58-20 advantage in the series with MSU.
• TTU won six straight until last season's final game when MSU won 81-74 in Morehead. The Eagles' last win in Cookeville came on Jan. 7, 2010.
All By Herself
• Senior guard Almesha Jones set the Morehead State career assist record Saturday at Jacksonville State. She broke Irene (Moore) Strong's mark of 499, held since 1982.
• At 503 currently, Jones needs just 10 more helpers to etch her name on the Ohio Valley Conference top-10 list for career assists.
Keeping Up With the Joneses
• Almesha Jones is the 22nd member of Morehead State's 1,000-point club. She now has 1,253 career points and is ranked 16th in career points at MSU.
• Jones ranks first in the nation in total assists (160) and is third in assists per game (8.0). She has five double-digit assist games.
• Jones, who leads the OVC in minutes played, has played all 40 minutes in 11 of MSU's 20 games. She played 200 consecutive minutes in MSU's five games from Dec. 17-Jan. 8.
• In the last three games, Jones averaged 25.3 points and shot 50 percent from the field.
Is She Really Just a Freshman?
• Freshman forward Eriel McKee has scored in double figures in 15 of the 17 collegiate games she's appeared in.
• McKee leads all OVC freshmen in rebounding, pulling down 8.8 per game. She has six double-doubles.
• McKee has seven double-digit rebounding performances.
Steele The One
• Shay Steele leads the OVC in blocked shots (41). She is now eighth in career blocks (68) at Morehead State.
• Steele has four 20-point games this year.
• She has scored in double figures in seven of the last nine games.
Flyin Hawaiian
• Hawaiian native and senior Maiki Viela has nine double-figure scoring games this season. She also leads the MSU starters with an .811 free-throw percentage.
Easy Being Green(well)
• Junior guard Natalie Greenwell missed five games from Dec. 5-21, but since she has returned, she has averaged 8.2 points and scored in double figures four times.
• Greenwell scored a career-high 17 at UT Martin on Jan. 10.
