NOTES ON THE EAGLES:

A WIN IN CLARKSVILLE LONG OVERDUE
Morehead State trails the series with Austin Peay 53-29, but the Eagles did claim two of three from the Governors in Morehead last season. It's been a long drought though for a win in Clarksville. Austin Peay has won 19 straight games over MSU on its home field. The last time the Eagles beat the Govs at Raymond C. Hand Park was April 20, 2002.

BEST IN THE NATION
Heading into mid-week action, the Morehead State offense leads the nation in batting average (.334), doubles per game (2.79), hits (475), on-base percentage (.423) and slugging percentage (.510). The Eagles rank second in the nation (tailing only Nevada by one) in doubles (109) and third in runs scored (329) and runs per game (8.4).

STREAKS AND SUCH
Senior rightfielder Brandon Rawe leads the team with a 20-game hitting streak, tying for the longest in Head Coach Mike McGuire's three-year tenure. Bobby Burns, who was utilized as MSU's designated hitter a majority of the time in 2014, ended his career with a 20-game hitting streak. Three other players, senior shortstop Robby Spencer, senior leftfielder Nick Newell and sophomore centerfielder Ryan Kent, carry 18-game hitting sprees into the week.

MR. ROBINSON
Senior catcher Chris Robinson leads the Ohio Valley Conference with a .409 batting average and also paces the league with 52 runs scored. He ranks second only behind senior teammate Kane Sweeney (.497) in on-base percentage at .487.

THE HIT PARADE
Morehead State players rank one-two-three in the league in hits this season. Brandon Rawe and Nick Newell pace the conference with 64 hits, while Chris Robinson ranks third with 63. Newell has a team-best 20 multi-hit games.

DOUBLE TROUBLE
Nick Newell
leads the conference with 20 doubles and is only two shy of the Morehead State single-season record of 22 held by Brad Allison in 1996. Brandon Rawe, who had 21 two-baggers a season ago, is close behind with 19. In fact, Morehead State has five players with 10 or more doubles, including Chris Robinson (15), Ryan Kent (12) and Kane Sweeney (10). Rawe has 49 career doubles and has a chance at the MSU career mark of 59 held by Drew Lee (2007-10).

ROBBY GETS THE RBIs
Robby Spencer
leads the team with 48 RBI in 2015, and that ties for the most in the last three seasons under Head Coach Mike McGuire. Brandon Rawe led the squad with 48 in 2014.

HOME SWEET HOME
Morehead State's offense is hitting .413 at home and producing 12 runs per game. The Eagles have clobbered 88 extra-base hits at Sonny Allen Field.

HERE WE COME TO SAVE THE DAY
The Morehead State pitchibng staff is nearing a school record for saves in a season. The mark is 16, set by the 2014 squad. The 2015 staff has 14 saves, and amazingly seven different pitchers have notched saves. Junior Craig Pearcy started the year as the closer before being moved to the Saturday starter. He has a team-high five. Junior righty Tyler Keele is next with three stops.

HUMP DAY
Sophomore pitcher Luke Humphreys has been credited with the victory in three consecutive Friday starts, all going exactly six innings. He leads the team with a 5-1 record and a 5.77 ERA.
