MOREHEAD, Ky. - Morehead State University is home to a college cheerleading dynasty. Since the start of the program's success on a national level in 1988, the Morehead State Co-Ed and All-Girl cheer squads have captured a combined 39 Universal Cheer Association (UCA) National Championship titles.
Reaching that level of success has come with hours of practice, participation in athletic events, and additional performances. As a result, the cheer mats, which have not been replaced in over ten years, have become extremely worn. In addition, the program is still using some uniforms that are equally as aged.
"We are asking for alumni, friends, family, and fans to help financially give to the Morehead State Cheer program," said head coach
Mark Coleman. "I know that this cheer program has meant so much to so many people for decades, and I am now asking those people to give back. We have the best alumni in the country and I feel confident that we will get overwhelming support from our Morehead cheer family."
Make a commitment today to assist the Morehead State Cheer program in replacing cheer mats and uniforms. Your support will impact the experience of current and future cheerleaders.
Stay tuned for project updates and be sure to follow Morehead State cheer on their journey to their 40th and 41st National Championships.
