MOREHEAD, Ky. - Morehead State men's basketball (5-10, 1-1 OVC) hosts SIU Edwardsville (5-11, 0-2) on Saturday afternoon at 4:15 p.m. ET as they seek their fourth straight win at Johnson Arena.

The Eagles are coming off of an 85-75 win over Eastern Illinois on Thursday night. They entered halftime with a 39-36 lead, but scored 11 straight points to open the second half. The Eagles ultimately outscored the Panthers 40-12 in the paint, and won the rebounding battle, 42-30.

Senior guard Xavier Moon matched a career-high with 25 points, while adding nine assists and six rebounds in the win on Thursday. He set a career-high with 12 made free throws, finishing 12-of-14 from the stripe.

The senior from Goodwater, Ala., ranks in the top ten in several OVC statistical categories. He ranks eighth with 15.5 points, first in free throw percentage (.925), third in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.5), sixth in minutes per game (33.3), seventh in assists per game (4.1), and eighth in steals (1.4). He also ranks 11th in three-point field goals made per game (2.1).

His .925 free throw percentage would tie for 14th in country, but he averages just 2.46 makes per game and must average 2.5 to qualify.

In the last five games against division I opponents, he is averaging 21.8 points, 7.0 assists, and 5.6 rebounds. He recorded the first triple-double in school history vs. UCA with 25 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds, all of which were career highs.

Senior forward Treshaad Williams enters Saturday's contest after connecting on his last 21 field goal attempts at Johnson Arena. He finished with a career-high 24 points and was a perfect 12-of-12 from the floor, while adding eight rebounds, in the win over Asbury, and then had 22 points on 8-of-8 shooting and 6-of-6 from the line, with six rebounds, in the win over EIU.

His field goal percentage is .754 (46-61), which leads the OVC and would rank third in the NCAA, but he doesn't have enough field goals to qualify.

With 16 points and 12 rebounds on Thursday, senior forward DeJuan Marrero locked up his seventh double-double of the season, which is tied for 21st in the country. He averages 8.1 rebounds, which ranks fourth in the OVC and 93rd in the country, and 2.9 offensive rebounds, which is tied for second in the OVC and 75th in the country.

Morehead State has outrebounded their opponents in nine of 15 games and in six of their last seven games. With 39.4 rebounds per game, the Eagles rank first in the OVC and their rebounding margin (+5.3) ranks first in the league.

Tickets are available for Saturday's game and it will air live on the OVC Digital Network.
