MOREHEAD, Ky. --
After playing their its nine games away from home, the Morehead State baseball team will finally get to play in the friendly confines of Allen Field this weekend when Bowling Green visits for three. The teams will now play one game at 2 p.m. ET on Saturday and two on Sunday at noon.

All three games will feature live audio on MSUEagles.com, as well as live video on the baseball Facebook page (Morehead State Eagles Baseball).

After winning four straight, the Eagles (5-4) will look to get back to success following two straight losses. In those setbacks, MSU surrendered 17 total walks. The Falcons, from the Mid-American Conference, are 0-6 but opened with three at nationally-ranked Texas A&M.

Morehead State has won 11 consecutive series (OVC and non-conference) at home and is 34-10 at Allen Field since 2015. Junior LHP Aaron Leasher, junior RHP pitcher JC Hatcher and senior LHP Curtis Wilson will make up the Eagles' starting rotation.

GAME NOTES

FIRST MEETING
While both schools have fielded baseball teams for 50+ years, this weekend will mark the first meeting between Morehead State and Bowling Green on the diamond.

WE'RE GOING STREAKING
Four players - sophomore catcher Hunter Fain, sophomore leftfielder Niko Hulsizer, sophomore shortstop Reid Leonard and senior right fielder Will Schneider - have reached base in every game they've played this season. Dating back to the end of 2016, Fain has now reached safely in 17 straight games, while Schneider's streak sits at 14 games.

MORE STREAKERS
Will Schneider and sophomore DH Trevor Snyder carry six-game hitting streaks into this weekend's series.

SUPPORT YOUR STARTER
No. 1 starter Aaron Leasher has seen good run support behind him dating back to last season. Four of the last five times Leasher has taken the ball, the Eagles have scored at least five runs.

CALL ON THE CABLE GUY
Senior pitcher Cable Wright already owns the Morehead State career record for appearances with 92. Wright needs 14 appearances this season to set the Ohio Valley Conference record, held by Eastern Kentucky's Robert Teague (1988-91) with 107. Wright leads the team with two saves in 2017.

FLYIN RYAN
Senior outfielder Ryan Kent has the
opportunity to set the Morehead State record for doubles in a career, needing just 15 to accomplish the feat. He is also on the all-time singles list (6th - 152), as well as total plate appearances (4th - 804), walks (5th - 102) and runs scored (7th - 152).

GETTING NATIONAL ATTENTION
Junior lefthander Aaron Leasher has been listed in D1Baseball.com's top 350 draft prospects for 2017. Leasher is No. 305. He is 2-0 with a 1.20 ERA and has zero walks compared to 16 strikeouts in two starts.

HE CHASED A RECORD
Junior third baseman Chase Teter tied the MSU single-game record with three doubles on Feb. 26 against Iowa. Seven other players have accomplished the feat, including Ryan Kent last year at SIU Edwardsville.

GOING OUT WINNERS
The quartet of four-year seniors, RHP Luke Humphreys, OF Ryan Kent, C Jimmy Wright and LHP Cable Wright helped the Eagles to 99 wins in the past three seasons. That's the highest win total in three seasons for one class.

DOUBLE DIPPING
The Eagles have turned 12 double plays so far in 2017, and that leads the Ohio Valley Conference and ranks seventh nationally.

HUNTING BASE STEALERS
Sophomore catcher Hunter Fain has thrown out 44 percent of opponents' base stealers (4-of-9) so far after gunnng down 14 last year.

GETTING THE JOB DONE
Sophomores Niko Hulsizer and Trevor Snyder are each doing a solid job advancing runners when they bat this season. Hulsizer is at 57 percent (12-of-21), while Snyder is at .550 (11-for-20).
