Morehead, Ky. – Morehead State's cross country teams will head to Blacksburg, Va. on Friday to participate in the Virginia Tech Alumni Invitational at the Buford Meredith Cross Country Course.
 
The women's 6K race will begin at 6:00 p.m. ET with the men's 8K event to follow at 6:40 p.m. ET.

The Eagle men are coming off a third place finish two weekends ago at the Eagle Opener. Sophomore Farah Abdulkarim led Morehead State finishing seventh with a time of 15:29.2. Junior Justin Moakler will look to build on his eighth place finish (15:30.8) at the Eagle Opener. Morehead State also had three other runners who crossed the line in the top-25.

For the women, sophomore Alison Chinn covered the course in 19:30.2. Sophomore Caitlin Cunningham, senior Taylor Montgomery, junior Gloria Corona-Luna, and freshmen Madison Pelfrey and Maggie Kiper also placed in the top-25.
