MOREHEAD, Ky. – The Morehead State volleyball team improved its' Ohio Valley Conference mark to 7-1 with a four-set victory (21-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-12) over Southeast Missouri on Saturday afternoon at Wetherby Gym.
After dropping the first set, Morehead State rallied back to take the final three sets of play behind efficient hitting.
Three Eagles swung for at least 10 kills as the team amassed a .296 percentage with sophomore
Olivia Lohmeier leading the charge with 17 kills. Sophomore
Lauren Rokey was close behind with 13 kills while redshirt senior
Jessie Wachtman rounded out the double-digit kills with 13.

Chandler Clark set up Morehead State for 55 kills in the match. The total marks the fourth time in 2018 Clark has racked up at least 50 assists in a match.
A trio of freshmen guided the Eagles defensively in
Allison Whitten,
Olivia Montelisciani, and
Taylor Hodges. Whitten dug up 24 SEMO attacks while Montelisciani and Hodges grabbed 12 digs apiece.
At the net, Morehead State senior
Maddie Fella blocked five Redhawks' attacks.
The Eagles improved to 16-5 overall with the victory while Southeast Missouri fell dropped to 13-8 for 2018 and 5-3 in the OVC.
Morehead State will next hit the road for the first of five-straight matches on Friday when it travels to SIU Edwardsville. That match will get underway at 2:00 p.m. ET from the Sam M. Vadalabene Center in Edwardsville, Ill.
