MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State women's basketball will make its final stop before beginning its 2022-23 campaign when they tip-off their lone exhibition game Tuesday against UVA Wise on the FamilyLeisure.com Court at Johnson Arena.
Cayla Petree enters her second season as head coach for the Eagles, flanked by two newcomers on the coaching staff.
Uyen Tran joins the staff as assistant coach after a stint at Graceland University that saw her squad lead the conference in steals last season, and
Buck Carey, who helped Stony Brook to the WNIT last season, as associate head coach.
The Eagles will look different on the court as well, with only one returner from last year's squad: sophomore
Janay Rose. Fifteen newcomers including transfers
Veronica Charles,
Sandra Lin, and
Sophie Benharouga, and freshmen
Lacey Bradshaw and
Hallie Rhodes will join Rose.
Tip-off is slated for 6:00 PM ET and can be found on the Eagle Sports Radio Network.
The regular season begins Nov. 7 at South Florida.
