Soccer Set to Face SIUE in OVC Semifinal Friday

MOREHEAD, Ky. – The OVC is down to the final four, and for the first time since 2015, the Morehead State soccer team is amongst the four teams headed to Cookeville, Tennessee for the semifinals. Three seed MSU faces off with two seed SIUE, while host and one seed Tennessee Tech plays Lindenwood on the other side of the bracket.
 
Kickoff between the Eagles and Cougars is set for Friday at 8:00 p.m. ET/7:00 CT, with live stats and live streaming available (ESPN+).

• After hitting four out of five penalty kicks to defeat UT Martin, Morehead State is five out of six on PKs this season. Hadley Cytron, Erin Fite, Kate Larbes, and Anna Lohrer (game winner) nailed their opportunities allowing MSU to advance.
• Erin Gibbs saved UT Martin's fifth PK with a dive to her left. Gibbs has had a phenomenal freshman campaign to date, allowing only six goals (0.88 save percentage) in nine games (eight starts).
• MSU has eight players who have played over 1,000 minutes this season, as Anna Lohrer, Madelyn Mozeleski, Natalie Ledin, Kate Larbes, Colleen Swift, Hadley Cytron, Nicole Fiantaco, and Avery Redmon have all crossed the millennium mark in minutes played. Redmon leads the way with 1,310 minutes played in the defensive midfield this season.
