MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Looking to get back in the win column and even its Pioneer League mark, Morehead State's football team returns to familiar Jayne Stadium Saturday when the Presbyterian Blue Hose make their first-ever foray into the stadium to face the Eagles at 1 p.m. ET.
The game will air live on ESPN+ with Jared Stacy and
Hunter Hurst on the call. It can be heard on the Eagle Sports Radio Network with WIVY-96.3 FM serving as flagship station. Chuck
Mraz, Jason Blanton and Tom Lewis provide the radio call. Fans can also hear it on MSUEagles.com, WGOH-110.9 FM/1370 AM and WMST-106.9 FM/1150 AM.
The Blue Hose joined the PFL for the 2020 season (played in the spring of 2021) and both meetings took place in 2021 in Clinton, S.C., where the Eagles won 38-30 last fall. However, the MSU men's basketball team did host (and defeat) Presbyterian last December, the baseball team won a home three-game series over PC in April and the Eagle women's basketball team is set to host the Blue Hose this winter.

GAME NOTES
• MSU has won its last two home PFL openers and has claimed a win in five of the last seven PFL home openers.
• Morehead State's special teams units have blocked five kicks - all in the past two games. The five denials mark the highest blocked kick count for an Eagle team since 2006.
Cooper Krezek and
Jihad McCall have each blocked two. McCall got his hands on two Stetson punts, one of which was returned by teammate
Gunnison Bloodgood 37 yards for a touchdown. Opponents are also only averaging 24.7 yards per punt against MSU.
• In the last three seasons, MSU has averaged 36.8 points per game when playing at home at Jayne Stadium (nine games).
• Morehead State's primary two running backs -
James Louis and
Chance Harris - combine to average 106.5 rushing yards.
• Kicker
Nathan Hazlett was the PFL Special Teams Player of the Week following the KCU game. He was a perfect 7-of-7 on PATs against KCU and averaged 61 yards on kickoffs with two touchbacks. In his first full year as the primary placekicker, Hazlett is perfect on PATs (11-of-11) and field goals (6-of-6).

Cam Marriott,
Wade Acey,
Matt Guilfoil and
Khiyree Keith were chosen to the All-Commonwealth Team by the Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame. They will be honored by the organization prior to Saturday's game.
• Safety
Cooper Krezek leads MSU by averaging just more than six tackles per game. He also leads the team with 3.5 tackles for loss and two pass breakups.
• Starting offensive center
Cam Marriott has appeared now in 44 games in his career, including starts in the last 22 games.
• Morehead State's defense has nine sacks through four games.
• With its 7-4 scorecard last fall, Morehead State secured its first back-to-back above .500 seasons since 2002 and 2003. The seven victories marked most since a 7-4 finish in 2015. The Eagles finished in a tie for second place in the Pioneer League with newcomer St. Thomas - the second consecutive second place finish.
• Will Kirkendall, who coached MSU's special teams units and cornerbacks during the 2021 seasons, is now the safeties coach at Presbyterian.
