MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Football will venture to the Palmetto State for its final game of the 2023 season Saturday. The Eagles will be at Presbyterian for a 1 p.m. ET kick-off against the Blue Hose.
The game can be heard on the Eagle Sports Radio Network with
WIVY-96.3 FM serving as flagship station. Chuck Mraz and Jason Blanton provide the radio call. Fans can also hear it on MSUEagles.com,

Morehead State enters its final game of 2023 looking to earn an above .500 record in games against D1 opponents. The Eagles are 1-1 all-time in Clinton, S.C., having earned a 38-30 win last time the teams played there in 2021.

GAME NOTES
• Quarterback
Bryce Patterson was named PFL Offensive Player of the Week and the FedEx Ground National Freshman of the Week after his six-touchdown effort against Davidson. He was making his first career start and came within one TD of the program single-game record of seven set by Chris Swartz in 1990.
• Defensive back
Kaleb Lyons tied the MSU and PFL single-game record with three interceptions against Davidson. Lyons was named a FedEx Ground Honorable Mention National Defensive Player of the Week.
• Defensive backs
Kaleb Lyons and
Jihad McCall are tied for the FCS lead with six interceptions each. The Eagle pair would rank second in all of FCS AND FBS football, only behind Notre Dame's Xavier Watts.
• Morehead State ranks second in all FCS football in interceptions with 15 and ranks first in FCS in interceptions versus total opponent passing attempts (15/269).
• Running back
James Louis could be called "Mr. November." He posted the Eagles' first 100-yard rushing game against Davidson (107) and now has 519 rushing yards in the four November games in the past two seasons (129.0/game).
• Linebacker
Jahleel Holmes represents the second Eagle in as many seasons with 100+ tackles. Holmes leads MSU and ranks 14th nationally with 102 stops. Defensive back
Cooper Krezek had 100 in 2022. This game will feature the PFL's first and third-ranked tacklers in Holmes and PC's Alex Herriott.
• Wide receiver
Ryan Upp's nine touchdowns is the fourth best single-season effort in program history. He leads the PFL and ranks fifth in FCS in TDs, including catching three scores in last weekend's upset over Davidson.

Ryan Upp and
Kyle Daly represent 58 percent of the Eagles' total receiving yards. The two have combined for 1,383 yards in 2023.
• Sophomore running back
Jackson Lanier had a breakout game against Butler, rushing for a career-best 78 yards. Prior to the game, he had only three rushing yards on the season.
