MOREHEAD, Ky. – After winning the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament, Morehead State Soccer makes its first NCAA Tournament appearance in a decade as the Eagles are ready to face the event's top overall seed in Florida State. The Eagles and Seminoles will battle Friday at 5 p.m. ET at Seminole Soccer Complex.
The match will be live on ESPN+.
Morehead State enters with six consecutive victories and has never faced a national No. 1 ranked opponent.

Chris Fox was named the 2023 OVC co-Coach of the Year after leading the Eagles to their best OVC finish (2nd) and overall (9-5-5) record since 2015.
- MSU's four road victories are the most by an Eagle team since 2013.
Chris Fox has led MSU to seven road wins in his two seasons as head coach.

Kate Larbes, who leads MSU with five goals, was named OVC Tournament MVP.
- The Eagles have not allowed an "opponent generated" goal in the last 583:10 or since Southern Indiana scored in the second half on Oct.1. While Tennessee Tech was credited with a goal scored on Oct. 19 it was a ricochet off one of its players on a clear attempt.
- The nine shutouts in 2023 represents the most clean sheets since the 2008 team had eight. The single-season program record is 10, set in 2006.
- Goalkeeper
Erin Gibbs has been a part of all nine shutouts, which ranks second in program history in a single season. Gibbs now has had a hand in 14 career shutouts in her two seasons, which ranks third in program history.
- Freshman forward
Hedda Ornberg's four goals scored this season is the most by an Eagle true freshman since Ashley Ritchie netted eight in 2016.
- 13 different players have registered at least one assist, which is a program record for most players with an assist.
