MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Not every team can 'win them all'. Morehead State's men's basketball team had a six-game winning streak going but fell in a close battle at Little Rock Thursday. The Eagles regrouped and will look to start a new streak when MSU visits Southeast Missouri Saturday for a 5 p.m. ET OVC contest.
Still in first place in the Ohio Valley Conference, the Eagles will look to even the season series against Southeast Missouri. Morehead State has an all-time winning record in games at SEMO, leading 14-12.

Mark Freeman erupted for 26 points and had five steals in the first matchup with SEMO on Jan. 14. The Redhawks, however, rallied past MSU 91-86.
• Morehead State had to go to overtime to beat Southern Indiana Saturday, but the Eagles prevailed 71-66. It marked the first OT contest for MSU this season. MSU's last overtime loss was March 4, 2020 to TSU in the OVC Tournament. Since then the Eagles have gone 4-0 in extra-period decisions.
• Morehead State's three-point defense was bolstered again by holding Little Rock to just 3-of-12. The Eagles lead the OVC in defending the arc at just 31 percent for opponents. In fact, MSU held 11 different foes to just four made three-pointers or less.
• Morehead State's six game winning streak came to a halt with a 72-68 setback at Little Rock Thursday. It's the fifth consecutive season MSU has had at least one 4+ game winning streak.
• In the past three seasons, MSU is 58-8 when the Eagles obtain the lead at halftime.

Mark Freeman ranks fourth overall in scoring (16.1/game) in the OVC and second in league games only (21.1). He is one of only three players in the league averaging 20+ points against league competition.

Alex Gross is one of just 13 current players on Division I teams to score 2,000+ career points in college. He is the ONLY current player in Division I to record 2,000+ points AND 1,400+ career rebounds in college (Gross' first four seasons were in NAIA). His career college totals stand at 2,326 points and 1,410 career rebounds.

Alex Gross has had at least one block in all games this season and has swatted away 20 in the past six games. His 49 total blocked shots leads the OVC. If he finishes with the OVC block title, MSU will have three consecutive seasons with the league's top shot blocker.
