MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State head baseball coach
Mik Aoki has resigned his position to accept the head coaching position with the University of Richmond.
Aoki helmed the Eagles for four seasons, amassing 92 wins during his tenure, and was named OVC Coach of the Year after leading Morehead State to a 36-20 record this past season, winning their first outright OVC regular season title since 1979.
Richmond will be Aoki's sixth head coaching stop, with previous stints at Manchester Community College, Columbia, Boston College, and Notre Dame, and served as an assistant coach at Ohio University and Dartmouth.
A national search for the next head coach at Morehead State will begin immediately.
