MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State's cheerleading program earned its 54th overall National Championship on Saturday, as the All-Girl Cheer Squad won its second straight title.
The Large Co-ed program finished second, while All-Girl won its 14th championship and second since 2018. Small co-ed finished second as well, while the game day squad finished third in its first ever year of competition.
Started by the late Myron Doan in 1988 and now led by head coach
Mark Coleman, the competitive cheer program at Morehead State has now earned 53 all-time UCA titles (and 1 from NCA) for 54 all-time cheer titles. Other coaches who have led the Eagles to national titles include Tony Nash and Bill Mayo.
