Morehead, Ky.--
The Morehead State Men's golf team will travel to Lexington, Kentucky to play in the Cullan Brown Collegiate hosted by the University of Kentucky on October 6th and 7th. The 7,280-yard par 7 Lexington Country Club layout will host the event.

"We are very happy to have the opportunity to play in this tournament," said Morehead State coach Matthew Martin. "The golf course is phenomenal. It will be the toughest test will have to date, possibly the toughest course we will see all season."

The Eagles will compete against 14 other schools in the event. The other teams competing are the host University of Kentucky, Chattanooga, Kennesaw State, Toledo, Mercer, South Alabama, Western Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky, Bellarmine, North Alabama, Purdue Fort Wayne, and Evansville.

The Cullen Brown Collegiate is the third event of Morehead State's fall campaign. The Eagles opened the season with a third-place finish at the Joe Feaganes Invitation hosted by Marshall University and gained another third two weeks ago in the Grover Page Classic hosted by UT Martin.

"I am happy with our performance to this point," said Martin. "This tournament is another chance to show what we can do. We've had two rounds that have shown how high our ceiling can possibly be. We need to work on being more consistent and raise our floor," he said.

The tournament marks the first of three consecutive weeks Morehead State will see action. The Eagles will travel to Kennesaw, Georgia to play in the Pinetree Intercollegiate October 14-15. Morehead State will cap their fall campaign when they head to Cincinnati to play in the Xavier Invitational at the Maketewah Country Club October 21-22.
