MOREHEAD, Ky. --  A grueling four-game stretch for the Morehead State men's basketball team begins this week as the Eagles will face Little Rock in the first of three of the next four on the road. Game time Thursday night is 8 p.m. ET in Arkansas' state capital. MSU has four games in the next eight days.

With the young series deadlocked at one game apiece, MSU faces Little Rock in its only regular-season matchup against the Trojans. MSU also only plays Lindenwood once in the regular season. The Trojans defeated the Eagles in Little Rock last winter.

The game can also be heard on the Eagle Sports Radio Network (WIVY-96.3 FM flagship station as well as WGOH in Grayson, Ky.) with Chuck Mraz and Dean Hardin. It is also available on MSUEagles.com. ESPN+ has the game as well.

NOTABLE
• Morehead State, the OVC's only remaining team in Kentucky, is easily the winningest Division I MBB program in the state in the past four seasons with 88 wins. In that span, MSU has 13 more wins than the next closest, University of Kentucky (see chart page 2).

Drew Thelwell became the winningest individual player in program history Saturday vs. Eastern Illinois with 88. He broke Terrence Hill's record of 87 from 2008-09 to 2011-12.

• MSU is No. 1 in the Major Madness (@low_madness) top 25 poll and 20th in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major top 25.

• This year's Eagles have equaled the 1983-84 team for best record after 25 games. They were also 20-5 and went on to be 25-5 before losing in the NCAA Tournament first round. That is the record for most wins in a season (25), set by 1983-84 and 2010-11.

• Saturday's win over EIU secured the Eagle program four straight 20+ win seasons, which had never happened before in MSU history.

• MSU has also now won double digit OVC games in four consecutive seasons, marking just the second time in program history for 4 straight 10+ win OVC seasons (2007-08 through 2011-12).

• The current Eagles can also equal the 1983-84 Morehead State team for best OVC start at 12-1.

• MSU has shot 50 percent or better in 13 games this season. That's the most 50+ percent efforts in a season since 2001-02.

Riley Minix won his fifth OVC Player of the Week and sixth Newcomer of the Week this week. He has been bestowed both awards in the same week five times. Minix is the conference's leading scorer on average, putting in 19.6 per outing.

Drew Thelwell ranks first in the nation in fewest fouls per minutes played. Thelwell only has 17 fouls against him in 842 minutes played and only 14 defensive fouls committed all season.

Riley Minix has 11 20+ point efforts this season, including six of the last seven games, and has now scored 2,539 career collegiate points to go along with 1,281 career rebounds. He has also scored 30+ twice this year.

Riley Minix only needs nine more points to reach 500 this season. He would be only the third MSU player in the last 10 seasons (Jordan Walker 2018-19, Johni Broome 2021-22) to score 500+ in a season.

Riley Minix has recorded 70 career double-doubles in his time at MSU (OVC-best 12) and Southeastern (Fla.) (58). An NAIA All-American, Minix was also the 2022-23 NAIA Academic All-American of the Year.

• While Jordan Lathon has missed the previous two games with an injury, he still ranks in the OVC top 10 in scoring at 15.9 ppg. Prior to missing time, he scored in double digits 17 times and had 10 20+ point efforts.

Drew Thelwell's 157 assists is the 10th best single-season total in program history.

Kalil Thomas has made 133 career three-pointers in just his two seasons at MSU, which ranks tied for 12th on the program career list. In his career, Thomas has drained 227 triples.

Zach Iyeyemi's 12 points off the bench against Eastern Illinois was his season high against a conference opponent.
