RESULTS (EKU | APSU)
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Beach Volleyball opened its 2024 season on Friday but unfortunately for the Eagles, it did not go in their favor. MSU fell 4-1 to Eastern Kentucky and 4-1 to Austin Peay at the Grand Sands Tournament.
Against EKU, No. 3 pair
M.E. Hargan and
Shea Hefner teamed up to collect the Eagles' win. They defeated Rachel Mueller and Elpida Pitsigkoni 21-11, 22-20.

Lily-Kate Carver,
Courtney Fitzgerald,
Amelia Nott and
Elena Verdecchia all made their college beach debuts.
Hargan and Hefner also picked up the Eagle victory in the APSU match, sweeping a match against Jamie Steward and Jilliand Stein, 21-13, 24-22. At No. 2,
Peighton Isley and
Sydney Wyman took their match to the third by swapping 21-14 decisions in the first two sets. But, APSU prevailed 15-8.
New head coach
Sarah Martin will look to lead her team to its first win on Saturday when the Eagles face Liberty at 8 a.m. and Tusculum (Tenn.) at 2 p.m.
