MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Beach Volleyball's first two Ohio Valley Conference matches of the 2024 season came on Friday at Chattanooga, but the results didn't go in the Eagles' favor.
MSU fell to the host team 5-0 before dropping a 5-0 decision to Lindenwood. The Eagles are now 4-4 overall.
Against Chattanooga, the Mocs won four of the five matches in straight sets. At No. 3,
M.E. Hargan and
Shea Hefner took their battle to three sets before falling 21-15, 21-23, 15-7.
Against the Lions, Hefner and Hargan again went to three sets but ended up on the short end of a 15-10 third-set battle. At No. 4,
Brenna Bommer and
Lily-Kate Carver also went to three sets. They won their opening round bout but then fell in the other two.
The Eagles wrap up OVC weekend No. 1 Saturday versus Eastern Illinois at 8 a.m. ET and UT Martin at 4 p.m.
