NOTABLE
  • Morehead State has bludgeoned opposing teams with a high-powered offense this season. As a team, the Eagles rank among the nation's best in batting average (.324, 5th), doubles (100, T-18th), hits (508, 4th), home runs (96, 5th), runs (419, 5th), scoring (9.5, 9th), and slugging percentage (.577, 7th).
  • For the third straight season, Morehead State has four players with 10 or more home runs. Roman Kuntz and Ryley Preece are once again on that list for the third straight season, while Colton Becker and Isaias Guzman have both hit 10+ homers for the first time in their careers.
  • Roman Kuntz is running away with the OVC home run title, and holds a large lead in RBI as well. Kuntz has 22 HR (T-5th in DI) and 67 RBI (5th in DI) this season. He is just five home runs shy of tying both the Morehead State & OVC record for home runs in a season, held by former Eagle Niko Hulsizer (27, 2017). He currently ranks 10th on the OVC single season HR list.
  • Kuntz is also chasing Hulsizer down for the Morehead State single season RBI record of 82. Kuntz is 19 RBI short of tying the OVC's single season record of 86, set by Wes Cunningham of Murray State in 2010.
  • Ryley Preece has scored 70 runs this year, leading the OVC by 16. He ranks second in DI in runs scored. Preece is tied for the OVC lead in hits with 70, and ranks among the leaders in batting average at .389 this season.
  • Despite missing a pair of games earlier in the season, Colton Becker leads the OVC in stolen bases with 20 this season. He is tied for the lead in doubles with 18 (a career-best), and hit his 10th home runs of the season vs. SEMO this past weekend (a career-high). Becker was named to the Brooks Wallace Award Watch list for the second straight season last week.
  • Davis Germann tied the program record for walks in a game on Saturday vs. SEMO, drawing five bases on balls.
  • Isaias Guzman snapped a streak of four straight games with a home run on Sunday, but blasted three home runs in the SEMO series including two on Friday night and a grand slam on Saturday.
