RESULTS (MATCH 1 | MATCH 2)
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Beach Volleyball took on Eastern Kentucky in a pair on non-conference matches Wednesday at Giovanni's Breadstick Beach, but the Eagles ended on the short end of 5-0 and 4-1 decisions to the Colonels.
The Eagles slid to 6-8 overall on the season, while EKU moved to 13-8. The Colonels had also secured a 4-1 win over MSU in both team's season openers in February.
At No. 3,
Peighton Isley and
M.E. Hargan were a bright spot as they claimed a 21-13, 21-19 victory in the second match and took their first match to three sets before falling 16-21, 21-19, 11-15.
Hargan is the first Eagle to reach 10 wins this season.
MSU is on the road this weekend, traveling to South Carolina for the Palmetto Invitational where the Eagles are set to face Mercer, UNC Wilmington and the host team.
