MOREHEAD, Ky. --
Morehead State Football returns to the turf at Jayne Stadium this week to host Dayton with game time Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.

It is Youth Football Day.

The game can be heard on the Eagle Sports Radio Network with WIVY-96.3 FM serving as flagship station. Chuck Mraz, Jason Blanton and Tom Lewis provide the radio call. Fans can also hear it on MSUEagles.com, WGOH-100.9 FM/1370 AM and WMST-106.9 FM/1150 AM. The game will stream live on ESPN+ with Jared Stacy and Mark Ledford teaming up as the voices this game.

Morehead State and Dayton are poised for another chapter in a long-running rivalry that started shortly after the Eagle program departed the Ohio Valley Conference - in 1996. Dayton has traditionally held strong in the series success (leading 20-9) but lately it's been the Eagles who have downed the Flyers. Morehead State has won three of the last four in the series, including two straight.

The Flyers enter at 3-1 and 1-0 in the PFL after a 48-14 win over Stetson last weekend.

GAME NOTES
•  MSU defeated the Flyers in Dayton last Oct. 26, 14-6. The Eagles held Dayton out of the end zone and to only 198 total yards. Quarterback Carter Cravens threw for 284 yards and two touchdowns. It marked Morehead State's first win at UD's Welcome Stadium since 2008.

•  Morehead State's 600-yard offensive effort against Kentucky Christian marked the program's first 600-yard total offensive performance since chalking up 625 vs. KCU in the opening game of the 2017 season.

•  Ryan Upp now has 128 career receptions for 1,783 career yards, including a career-best 138 yards against KCU. He now ranks fifth in career receptions at Morehead State with his 128, passing former PFL Offensive Player of the Year BJ Byrd (121 in 2020 and 2021). He also now ranks sixth in career receiving yards at MSU, moving past Byrd. Only three players in program history have ever eclipsed 2,000 career yards receiving (Jake Raymond - 2,907; Donte Sawyer - 2,555; Jarin Higginbotham - 2,107).

•  Ryan Upp ranks tied for fourth on the current FCS active leaders list for career receiving touchdowns with 16. He is the PFL's active career leader in touchdowns caught as well. He ranks 13th on that all-encompassing FCS list for receiving yards with 1,783.

•  Ryan Upp leads the PFL in total receptions (29) and receptions per game (5.8) while ranking second in total yards (366) and yards per game (73.2). He is going against the PFL leader in both those categories this week in Dayton's Michael Mussari.

• Quarterback Carter Cravens has 4,814 career passing yards and 30 touchdowns. He's reached the end zone nine more times on the ground, including twice in the season opener. He is only 108 yards shy of Lawson Page's 4,922 career passing yards for ninth place in program history.

•  Carter Cravens' four passing touchdowns against KCU marked a single-game career high for him. He also added a rushing TD for a career-high five total scores. Previously he had thrown three TD passes in a game three times.

•  Both Craig Cunningham (138) and Isaac Stopke (102) rushed for 100+ yards against KCU. That marked the first Eagle contest with multiple 100-yard gainers since Oct. 16, 2021 when Issiah Aguero and Earl Stoudemire each gained 100+ in a 31-8 win over Butler.

•  Craig Cunningham and Isaac Stopke combine to average 99.8 yards rushing per game.

•  Morehead State's offense ranks second in the PFL in time of possession per game (32:48).

•  Linebacker Ryan Sissel recorded a career-best 2.5 tackles for loss at Presbyterian.

•  Freshman kicker Jordan Price is a perfect 13-of-13 on PAT kicks in his first college season.

•  Redshirt senior punter Kip Warren boomed a career-long 55-yard punt at Presbyterian. In his fourth season, Warren is having his best year yet, averaging 40.1 per punt. That average ranks third in the PFL currently.

•  The 2025 roster features nearly 75 new players to the program, including close to 50 true freshmen.

•  A trio of returning Eagles garnered preseason recognition as part of the Pioneer Football League All-Conference team. Carter Cravens, Ryan Upp and Luke Bauer were honored on the team.

•  Head coach Jason Woodman's seven wins in his first season in 2024 marked the most ever by a first-year Eagle head coach for the football program.

•  Morehead State is 7-1 in home games in Head Coach Jason Woodman's two seasons.
