LIVE SCORING
MOREHEAD, Ky. --Â Morehead State women's golf is back in action this week when the Eagles make the trek to Jonesboro, Ark., for the Lady Red Wolves Classic.Â
MSU, plus 16 other teams, will fire away for 36 holes Monday and 18 more Tuesday at Sage Meadows Country Club. Among the notables in the field is fellow OVC member Little Rock, who the Eagles upended by 29 strokes the last time they went head to head in the league championship last spring.
Morehead State's six players remain the same from when it last competed three weeks ago in Missouri. Freshman
Margaret Ulrich, however, will move into the lineup and freshman
Morgan Kennedy will play as an individual. In her first-ever college event, Ulrich ended up 13th at the Johnie Imes Invitational and won OVC Golfer of the Week. In two events, she leads MSU with a 73.5 average. Senior
Tuva Marie Isebakke is virtually deadlocked with Ulrich, at 73.8.
This will mark the third consecutive season MSU has taken part in the Lady Red Wolves Classic. Last season, the Eagle squad finished sixth out of 17, and Isebakke scored an eighth place showing.
MSU will only have one more fall event remaining after this tournament, competing in Alabama at The Robbie (hosted by Lipscomb) on Oct. 31-Nov. 2.
