Sydney Sennett has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Setter of the Week for her play last weekend in the Eagles' series sweep at Lindenwood.
It is Sennett's second weekly award of the season; having received her first recognition of the season on September 8, and the fifth weekly award for Morehead State Volleyball this year.
The Normal, Illinois, native posted 35 assists in the Eagles straight-set win over Lindenwood Friday to kick off the weekend. She also tied her career high with four kills. Saturday, Sennett posted 37 assists and collected 11 digs for her fifth double-double of the season and the 16
th of her career.
The 72 assists over the weekend give her 522 on the season. Her 9.49 assists per set rate ranks second in the OVC. Sennett has piled up 1,442 assists in her career to-date, which ranks eighth in program history in the modern era.
Sennett and the Eagles return to action Thursday night when they host Tennessee Tech in Johnson Arena. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET. MSU will wrap up the series with Tech Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. ET, in Johnson Arena.Both matches are scheduled to be aired on ESPN+.
