11/12/2025 2:00:00 PM

MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State Beach Volleyball has inked a pair of student-athletes set to join the program for the 2027 season.

MSU welcomes Mary Ryan Campbell and Hanna Hall.

MARY RYAN CAMPBELL

MR Campbell
Campbell hails from Wilmington, N.C.

An indoor and beach standout, Campbell attends Cape Fear Academy, where she helped aid the team into a state quarterfinal appearance her junior year, as well as finishing second in the conference her senior year.

Campbell racked up 1,105 digs for a school record, 388 kills, and 312 aces in her time playing for the Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes.

"I chose Morehead State because when I visited, I felt an overwhelming sense of community and love throughout the whole town," she said. "When I met the team, I also got a great vibe from them all, and they were very welcoming. The school campus is also small and near a body of water-which fit one of my wants for the future."

She was also in the National Honor Society, as well as earning an AP Scholar Award with honors.

Campbell was Honorable Mention All-Conference her freshman year, immediately being named an All-Conference player her sophomore year with an Honorable Mention All-State accolade. She was named All-Conference, All-State, and Most Valuable Player her junior year.

As a senior, she was awarded the American Volleyball Coaches Association Best and Brightest Award, Conference Player of the Year and All-State Honors. Finally, she finished 24th in the state of North Carolina in digs, and 23rd in the state for aces.

Campbell also played club for NC Coastal 18 Deshay for indoor volleyball, and Club W for beach.

"I am really looking forward to playing with a team and being around people who share the same passion as me," Campbell said. "I am also really excited to be living in a different area than
Wilmington, I want to experience new scenery and make new memories surrounded by my people!"

Hall attends Port Charlotte High School in Florida.

She helped aid her high school team to three district championships, three regional championships, and a state final four appearance in her first three years and is in the midst of another final four appearance currently.

"I chose Morehead State because it felt like my home away from home," said Hall. "The team culture was not something I just saw, I felt it. It's something I see myself being a part of and the level of dedication from the coaching staff is beyond exciting!"

While attending PCHS, she was in the National Honors Society and had the highest GPA on her team.

HANNA HALL
Hanna Hall

Hall is from Punta Gorda, Fla.

Hall also played club volleyball for Sandbar/Cape Fear. She earned second place at the Regional Qualifier in Clearwater Beach. She earned third at SSOVA Beach National Qualifier and first at the junior's tournament.

Hall also played soccer at PCHS, in which she's been a team captain, First-Team All-Area and the offensive leader for the team.

She was named Player of the Week by her hometown newspaper last year.

"I am so blessed to have the opportunity to continue playing the sport I am so passionate about at a high level," she said. "The focus on strong academics is very important to me as well as I focus on majoring in communications and going into sports broadcasting."
