MOREHEAD, Ky.-- Morehead State Volleyball senior outside hitter
M.E. Hargan has been named the Ohio Valley Conference co-Offensive Player of the Week for her play last week at Little Rock. The award is her fifth such of the 2025 campaign.
Hargan was a force for Morehead State Friday at Little Rock, recording 21 kills, her sixth 20+ kill performance of the season, hitting .269. She also led the match with 19 digs, just missing a rare 20/20 match performance, while recording her 31st career double-double. She also was stout defensively, turning back seven blocks, just missing her career high of eight.
She followed that up with 18 terminations in the Eagles' three-set loss to Little Rock Saturday. She leads the OVC, averaging 4.72 kills and 5.58 points per set in conference play. Hargan smacked 39 kills in the series, averaging 5.57 kills per set posting a .277 hitting percentage. She scored 45.5 points, averaging 6.50 points per set.
Hargan has slammed 364 kills this season, averaging 4.67 kills per set, which leads the Ohio Valley Conference. She has scored 427 points this season, which also leads the OVC.
In her career, Hargan has slammed 1,359 career kills, which ranks third in program history for the modern, 25-point rally-scoring era. Her 90 career service aces rank 10th in the Eagle record book for the modern era.
Hargan and the Eagles return to action Thursday as they host SIUE in Johnson Arena. The match is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. ET.
