MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The final non-conference game for the Morehead State men's basketball team for 2025-26 is set as the Eagles host Alice Lloyd (Ky.) on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.

This is the fifth straight season the Eagles have hosted ALC and the second straight on Dec. 28. MSU is 8-0 all-time vs. the ALC Eagles.
Alice Lloyd is 5-11 overall and 0-2 in the NAIA Contintenal Athletic Conference.

NOTABLE
• Morehead State closes the non-conference portion of the schedule with in-state foe Alice Lloyd. This is the fifth straight season the Eagles have hosted ALC and the second straight on Dec. 28. MSU is 8-0 all-time vs. the ALC Eagles.
• Morehead State's average margin of victory all-time in eight meetings vs. Alice Lloyd is 81.1-51.6.
• Morehead State has a 114-64 overall record since 2020-21, or 65 percent success rate. That figure ranks No. 1 for winning percentage in the Ohio Valley Conference in that span. The program has had nine 20-win seasons since 2008-09.
• The last non-D1 team to beat MSU was Union (Ky.) on Dec. 12, 1992. Since then, MSU is 67-0 against non-D1 opponents.
• Morehead State is 64-11 at home in the past five seasons, an 86 percent success rate in Johnson Arena.
• The program has had particular success in the first half of the conference schedule. MSU started OVC action 9-1 last season and was 11-1 at one point in 2023-24. The Eagles have kickstarted the 2025-26 OVC action 2-0.
• Morehead State has won six consecutive overtime contests. The last time MSU dropped an overtime affair was in the final game of the 2019-20 season against Tennessee State in the OVC Tournament.

George Marshall, Jr. averaged 17.3 points per game in the last three outings. He is coming off a 19-point effort at Southern Indiana, including five in the decisive overtime period.
• MSU limited Southern Indiana to only 17 percent field goal accuracy in the second half (4 made FGs) and just 28 percent overall for the game on the road on Dec. 20. MSU has never lost (4-0) at USI.
• The Eagles' bench production ranks second in the Ohio Valley Conference. MSU is averaging 29.3 points from non-starters and has had a double-digiti margin in bench points scored in five games.
• Last week at Southern Indiana, MSU stopped a streak of 36 consecutive games of losing when trailing with a minute left in regulation. MSU trailed by one with a minute left but ended up winning in overtime.
• In the past five years, MSU is an astonishing 107-3 when it holds a lead with a minute left in the game.

Vince Dawson III is a state champion. He led Great Crossing High School in Georgetown, Ky., to the Sweet 16 title in 2024-25.
Davion Cunningham was also a state champion at North Mecklenburg High School in Huntersville, North Carolina.
