MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Men's Basketball will hope the friendly floor of Johnson Arena is the antidote to halt a losing skid as the Eagles open their final homestand Thursday when SIUE visits. Game time is 7:30 p.m. ET.
Morehead State is 6-4 in its last 10 games versus SIUE. The Eagles have won the last three meetings taking place at Johnson Arena. MSU has mathematically secured a spot in the OVC Tournament. The program has not missed an appearance in the post-season league event since 2017-18.
Since defeating the Eagles on Jan. 25 at home, SIUE has gone 4-2. The Cougars are led by Ray'Sean Taylor's 18.6 points per game. His cousin Brian Taylor II ranks second with 12.8 points per outing.

• Kenny White, Jr. reached the 1,000-point milestone in his college career at Western Illinois Feb. 15. White, Jr., who has played at Tennessee Tech, Murray State and UT Martin, now has 1,004 career collegiate points. He has scored 782 of those while playing in the OVC.
• Morehead State has a 108-53 overall record since 2020-21, or 66 percent success rate. No other OVC MBB programs (among the six others who were in the OVC since then) have a winning percentage of even at least .500.
• Morehead State is in the midst of a five-game losing streak, something that has not happened within the program since the 2017-18 season. The Eagles will also look to halt a three-game home losing skid. MSU has not lost four straight home since the 2014-15 season.
• The Eagles have made 10+ free throws in 12 straight games.

Khouri Carvey averaged a double-double on the road last week, 15.0 ppg and 10.5 rpg. He had career highs of 20 points and 14 rebounds at Lindenwood, which earned him his first career start at Western Illinois where he produced 10 points and seven boards.
• MSU's +4.8 rebounding margin against other league foes leads the conference. MSU has out-rebounded 10 of its last 11 overall opponents.

George Marshall has made 24 of his last 25 free throws. He made 22 consecutive free throws since the Dec. 31st game at Southern Indiana before missing his third attempt against SEMO Feb. 6.

Anouar Mellouk had scored in double figures in seven of nine games from Dec. 31-Jan. 28 but then was held to just 15 total points in the previous four games prior to at Western Illinois Saturday. Mellouk got back into the scoring form there, leading MSU with 13 points.
• MSU's offense has hit a bit of a lull lately. The Eagles have been held to less than 70 points in seven straight games. In five of those contests, the Eagles hit less than 40 percent from the floor.
