Morehead, Ky. -- The Morehead State baseball team returns to Allen Field at Prefontaine Park for a three-game Ohio Vally Conference series Friday – Sunday as they host Southeast Missouri.
The opener scheduled for Friday has been pushed back to Saturday at 2:00 p.m. ET due to rain in the Morehead area, and will be the first game of a doubleheader. Sunday's series finale is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET.

- Morehead State's opponents are 68-84 in stolen base attempts. Both figures rank second in the OVC behind UT Martin. The Eagles have recorded 26 caught stealing, the most in the OVC. Catchers Hunter Thomas and Caden Sheridan have both thrown out 12 would-be base thieves.Â
- Grant Herron continued his solid pitching last weekend at UT Martin. Making his sixth start of the campaign, he threw 6.1 innings, allowing five hits and two runs. He recorded five strikeouts.
- Freshman Kamden Hawks' last two outings have been effective. Last Thursday at UT Martin, making his sixth start of the season, he threw five innings, scattered six hits and allowed two earned runs. He walked three and struck out five. Hawks dazzled out of the bullpen in the series opener against Little Rock two weeks ago striking out 11 Trojan batters in 4.1 innings pitched.

- JJ Dutton is riding a 18-game hit streak heading into the series. He's hit safely in 29 of the last 31 games, dating back to March 1. In that span, he's raised his batting average 146 points. He now leads the club hitting .346. In the last 10 games, he's gone 23-44 (.523) with five doubles, a triple and a home run, driving in five runs.
- Hunter Thomas leads the Ohio Valley Conference with 16 home runs (T-7th nationally) and 49 runs batted in. He also tops the conference with 115 total bases and a .693 slugging percentage. His 57 hits are third-most in the OVC, and his 39 runs scored rank T3 in the conference.
- In the last 10 games, Thomas went 18-43 (.419) at the plate with four home runs and four doubles, and posting 14 RBI. He has reached base in the last 18 games.
- Davis Germann has hit safely in 10 of the last 12 games, with eight multi-hit games in that span. In the last 10 games, he went 16-38 (.421 at the plate) with 3 doubles, a triple, a home run and drove in seven runs. He's reached base safely in 14 straight games.
- Andy Cisneros enters the weekend on a seven-game hit streak. In that span, he's hit 11-31 (.367) with five RBI. He has struck out just eight times in 157 at bats this season, ranking fourth in Division-I in the Toughest to Strike Out category.
- Alex Kean went 12-39 (.308) in the last ten games, with three home runs, a double, a triple and 12 RBI. His 10 home runs on the season are rank T3 in the OVC. His 56 strikeouts are most in the OVC; however he has not gone down on strikes in the last three games.
- Freshman Landon Waugh delivered out of the bullpen two weeks back against Little Rock. After getting two outs to end the fourth inning, Waugh threw three shutout innings, scattering three hits. He gave up solo home runs in both the seventh and eighth innings. Last Friday at UT Martin, he threw 1.2 innings allowing two earned runs on three hits and one walk. He struck out one batter.
