MOREHEAD, Ky. --Nyla Doiron racked up seven RBIs to help propel the Morehead State Eagles over the Western Illinois Leathernecks 16-6 on Sunday.
Emma Solis (3-14) started in the circle and picked up the win for Morehead State (7-38, 5=17). The right-hander went four innings, giving up six runs, all of them earned, on 10 hits, allowing four walks and striking out three. Sela Pickford also made an impact in the circle for the Eagles, starting the ballgame and throwing one shutout inning while allowing one hit.
Doiron went 2-for-2 with two doubles in addition to her seven RBIs for the Eagles. Taikibrea Campbell put together a noteworthy performance as well, going 1-for-1 with a double, two walks and three RBI.
