SCHEDULE

MOREHEAD, Ky. --
Tournaments in Cancun, Mexico and Nevada highlight Men's Golf's 13-event schedule for 2025-26. The action commences Sept. 14-16 in North Carolina.

"Our schedule will once again provide us with a variety of venues, great competition and the requisite preparation to compete for an OVC Championship at the end of April," said Head Coach Matthew Martin. "I am very excited to start the journey with this group of young men."

Martin has led MSU since 2014-15. Last season, the Eagles advanced to the final four match play rounds of the OVC Tournament before falling in the semifinals.

The highlighted events include the Compadres Invitational, set for Feb. 1-3 at the Iberostar Playa Paraiso Golf Club in Cancun. MSU will take part in South Dakota State's Jackrabbit Invitational in Boulder City, Nev. March 9-10. It will mark the Eagles' second straight trip to the Silver State, having played in Mesquite last season.

MSU's fall season kicks off at the JT Poston Invitational, hosted by Western Carolina, on Sept. 14-16. Other fall action includes Eastern Kentucky's Colonel Shootout (Sept. 20-21), SIUE's Derek Dolenc Invitational (Sept. 29-30), the Pinetree Invitational hosted by Kennesaw State (Oct. 13-14) and the Xavier Invitational (Oct. 20-21).

The spring season starts in Mexico and ends in Indiana for the OVC Championship. In between, its the Savannah Intercollegiate hosted by Savannah College of Art and Design (Feb. 20-21), the aforementioned Nevada foray, Keene Trace Invitational at nearby Nicholasville (March 24), Murray State's Racer Intercollegiate (April 6-7), MSU and UTM co-hosted Carpenter-Chaney Classic (this year in Paris, Ky.) (April 11), Bluegrass Collegiate Invitational by UK (April 13-14) and the OVC title event and match-play championship (April 26-29).

The OVC venue has shifted this season to West Lafayette, Ind.and the Ackerman-Allen Course at Purdue. Previously it was at Dalhousie Country Club in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Martin returns nine players from the 2024-25 squad, including Remy Stalcup, Gavin Augenstein, Seamus Bogan, Mitchell Gastright, Logan Liles, Logan McCormick, Jace Patrick, Clifton Scully and Colten Wilson. Evan Taylor from nearby Winchester, Ky., joins as the lone true freshman.

Of the returners, Stalcup, Augenstein, McCormick and Bogan all saw the most action regularly last season, with all of them within a stroke of each other on average for the season. Liles played in 23 rounds while Wilson saw some limited action in 10 rounds. Gastright looks for more contribution opportunity this year as he played in four rounds last season. Patrick and Scully will look for their first collegiate action this season.
