MOREHEAD, Ky. --  Morehead State men's basketball heads to Little Rock for the final regular season game of the 2025-26 season. Tip-off from the Jack Stephens Center is Thursday at 8 p.m. ET. following the women's game.

The game will air on ESPN+. Fans can listen to the Eagle Sports Radio Network with Chuck Mraz and Drew Barnette on WIVY-96.3 FM (flagship station), on WMST 106.9 FM, WPKE 98.1 in Pikeville, WPRT 104.5 in Prestonsburg or on MSUEagles.com.

Morehead State can claim at least share of the Ohio Valley Conference regular season title with a win at Little Rock. If the Eagles accomplish that, it will be the third regular-season championship in the past four seasons (2022-23 outright, 2023-24 three-way tie).

Little Rock is 11-18 overall and 8-10 in the OVC. The Trojans are led by Jonathan Lawson with 16.2 points per game.

NOTABLE
• It seems like ages ago (and it was technically last year) but the Eagles opened OVC play this season with a 78-64 win over a shorthanded Little Rock squad on Dec. 16. George Marshall, Jr., led three Eagles in double figures with 17 points. MSU held a decisive 41-24 rebounding edge.

• MSU can still earn the No. 1 seed in the OVC Tournament and an outright OVC regular-season championship. The Eagles need to win at Little Rock, have Tennessee State defeat Southeast Missouri Thursday and then have UT Martin defeat Tennessee State Saturday. Or if SEMO defeats Tennessee State Thursday, then MSU would need to see Tennessee Tech knock off SEMO Saturday for the outright title.

• In the past five games (200 minutes worth), MSU has only trailed for 23:26.

Anouar Mellouk's five blocked shots against Southern Indiana Feb. 24 was the most by an Eagle since Alex Gross swatted away seven versus UT Martin late in the 2022-23 season.

• MSU has won 42 straight games when its opponent scores 60 or less, since falling to No. 23-ranked Murray State on Feb. 12, 2022.

George Marshall, Jr., now has 1,182 career points. It marks the fifth straight season an Eagle reached 1,000 career college points during the season.

George Marshall, Jr., ranks second among all OVC players with 117 free throws made. He has made 83 percent of his free tosses during his three-year MSU career. Marshall's 12-of-12 at the line against Southern Indiana Feb. 24 was the best FT effort for an Eagle since former OVC Player of the Year Riley Minix hitting 12-of-12 two seasons ago.

Jon Carroll is the second leading rebounder in the OVC with 225 total boards this year. He also ranks third with six double-doubles.

Chase Dawson and Davion Cunningham are both nearing the 900-point threshold in their college careers. Dawson has 898, while Cunningham sits at 896.

Vince Dawson III leads MSU by hitting 41 percent from three-point range.

• Morehead State has scored at least 70 points in 20 games. MSU ranks third in the conference in scoring offense at 76.0 per game.

• The Eagles have attempted 94 free throws in the last four games, averaging 23.5 FT attempts in that span.

• Morehead State has generated a positive rebound margin in eight of the past nine seasons.

Tamaury Releford has shot 74 percent in the past eight games, including 7-of-8 at Western Illinois when he scored a career high (against D1 opponents) 14 points.

• In conference games, MSU ranks third in the league in free throw percentage at .754.

• The Eagles boast a 13-3 record this season when they make more free throws than the opponent.

• On the season, the Eagles' first half point production and the opponents' scoring are nearly identical. MSU has 1,069 first-half points to the opponents 1,068.

• MSU ranks first in the OVC in games decided by five points or less, but the Eagles have been successful in nailbiters, going 9-3. Head coach Jonathan Mattox has coached MSU to 13 wins in his two-year tenure where the victory margin was five or less.

• MSU owns a 15-1 mark this year when leading with a minute left in regulation. In head coach Jonathan Mattox's two years, the Eagles are 29-1 when they have the advantage with a minute left.
