CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Both Morehead State basketball teams will be getting geared up for the postseason this week as the Eagles will travel to Evansville, Ind., for the Ohio Valley Conference Tournaments at the Ford Center.
The men's team earned a co-championship, along with Tennessee State, and will be the No. 2 seed. MSU earned a double bye into the semifinals and will play at 10:30 p.m. ET Friday evening. MSU's opponent will either be No. 7 Little Rock, No. 6 Lindenwood or No. 3 Southeast Missouri. SEMO is in the quarterfinals Thursday, while the other two will battle Wednesday to see who moves on to face the Redhawks.
MSU's men have been a top 3 seed in three of the past four tournaments, winning it in 2023-24 as the No. 3 seed.
Morehead State's women earned a single bye into the quarterfinals with the No. 4 seed. That's the Eagles' highest seeding since being No. 2 in 2018-19. MSU will be matched up against either No. 8 Little Rock or No. 5 Southeast Missouri.
