MOREHEAD, Ky. --
Morehead State Women's Golf is heading back to the Hoosier State this weekend, as the Eagles take part in the Fighting Irish Classic at Notre Dame.

The Eagles will face 13 other squads, including host and defending champion Notre Dame, at the Warren Golf Course. The grounds are expected to be set at par 72 and 6,166 yards. This will mark the program's first-ever foray at the Notre Dame fall event, although the 2011 team played in the NCAA Regional at Warren Golf Course. Other Power 4 schools in the field include Purdue and Wisconsin.

MSU is coming off a solid third place finish at the Brittany Kelly Classic in Indiana two weeks ago. Senior Isabella Wiley's eighth place finish earned her OVC Golfer of the Week, MSU;s second award of the young 2026-27 season.

The Eagles will see the same five in the lineup this week - sophomore Morgan Kennedy, sophomore Margaret Ulrich, junior Meri Illamola, Wiley and and junior Kerri-Anne Cook.

After two events, Morehead State boasts the top five best averages in the Ohio Valley Conference and the best team average. MSU is the lone OVC school to average less than 300 per round at 296.2 Kennedy's 73.7 average tops the league so far. Ulrich, Wiley, Cook and Illamola follow suit in second through fifth, respectively.
