RESULTS
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Battling an extremely tough course, Morehead State Women's Golf finished 13th at the Fighting Irish Classic this weekend at Notre Dame's Warren Golf Course.
Only one team (Purdue at -1) ended with an under-par score, while the second place team (Louisville) was 22 strokes behind at +21, and the host Fighting Irish managed a +30 on their home grounds. MSU finished at 313-316-310--939 and +87 but did show improvement in the final round.
The Eagles were led by senior
Isabella Wiley. She finished in 28th at 72-78-76--226. Unfortunately the remainder of the lineup wound up in the bottom third of the 78-player field.
Junior
Kerri-Anne Cook (79-78-80--237) was next, followed by junior
Meri Illamola (80-82-77--239. Sophomore
Morgan Kennedy made an upward jump on the leaderboard on the final day and tied with her teammate at 239, turning in her three scorecards of 84-78-77.
Sophomore
Margaret Ulrich closed out the Eagle lineup with an 82-82-84--248.
MSU will close out the fall portion of the 2026-27 schedule in two weeks at the Lady Red Wolves Classic, hosted by Arkansas State.
