Competed in 5 meets this season. Placed 11th with season best time of 16.40.52 in the 5k at the Queen City Invitational. Placed 28th with season best time of 26.45.00 in the 8K at the Thundering Herd Invitational.

PRIOR TO MSU
Armando Montes capped off his career at Dixie Heights High School with a third-place finish at the state Class 3A Track and Field Championships... Ran anchor leg of the squad’s 4x400m relay that placed 15th... In May, he captured the 800m regional crown. This past fall, 28th in the Class 3A state cross country meet and 16th in regionals... Top finisher for team which placed 19th overall at state and 5th in region. As a junior, finished sixth in the 800m and seventh in the 1,600m at the regional track championships. A native of Covington, Ky., Montes qualified for the state cross country meet three times.
