Dylan Genung

Dylan Genung is in his fifth year at Morehead State University as a strength and conditioning coach. Genung has been promoted to oversee the strength and conditioning department as he takes on the new role of head coach where he will oversee all aspects of the department. In 2022-23, he served as interim head coach.
Genung oversaw the strength and conditioning program that assisted in leading men’s basketball to prominence in 2020-21, winning the program's first Ohio Valley Conference Tournament championship in 10 years, with a 23-8 record season as well as a 23-11 season in 2021-22. Genung also helped the 2021 volleyball team to an OVC regular season and tournament championship as the Eagles went on to win their first ever NCAA tournament match.
Prior to joining Morehead State, Genung served various roles at Marshall and Kentucky Christian, as well as owning and operating his own training facility, Lifted Sports Performance. With a Masters Degree in exercise science and 10+ years of strength and conditioning experience, he continuously strives to improve his athletes, as well as his own knowledge within the coaching field.
He resides in Olive Hill, Ky., with his wife MaKaylen, and three children, Nia, Teagan, & Theo.
