COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Junior goalkeeper
Lily Meisner recorded her third shutout of the season as Morehead State soccer battled Tennessee Tech to a nil-nil draw Sunday afternoon in Cookeville.
Despite outshooting TTU by a count of 12-6 in the contest, the Eagles could not find a way to beat TTU goalkeeper Kaitlyn Thacker, who recorded eight saves. Meisner was credited with three saves in the contest.
Julie Arnold fired three shots on goal to lead the MSU offensive attack.
The draw moves MSU’s record to 5-6-2 on the season and 2-0-1 in Ohio Valley Conference play. TTU now stands at 3-8-2 and 2-1-1 in the OVC.
MSU returns to Jayne Stadium Friday evening to battle local OVC rival Eastern Kentucky. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
