MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The Morehead State baseball team hosts non-conference opponent Canisius Tuesday afternoon at Allen Field at 3 p.m. EDT.
The Eagles (3-17) enter the contest following a series loss to Miami University (Ohio) over the weekend. MSU split the Saturday doubleheader before falling in Sunday's rubber match, 11-4.
All three of Morehead State's wins have come at home this season as they won single games against Purdue, La Salle and Miami. The offense is also producing at a higher rate at Allen Field as the team has a .305 batting average.
Senior Daniel Pugh looks to extend his 12-game hitting streak Tuesday. Over his last 10 starts, Pugh is hitting .353 with four RBI.
The probable starters for the game are Alex Tufts (0-0, 18.00) for the Griffins and junior Cody Gibson (1-3, 17.55) for MSU. Gibson earned his first win of the season Saturday.
Following Tuesday's contest against Canisius, the Eagles take on Pikeville College Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Allen Field.
