MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The Morehead State men's golf team is set to begin its 2011-12 season as the Eagles host the Wasioto Winds Fall Kickoff Invitational at Pine Mountain State Resort Park Monday and Tuesday.
MSU will be one of 13 teams participating in this year's kickoff event at the Wasioto Winds Golf Course.
Head coach Rex Chaney's lineup consists of junior Jared Flanery, junior Sam Zirnheld, senior Dean Schneider, junior Matt Logan and true freshman Jared Stacy.
The Eagles also have five individuals playing. Redshirt sophomore Ian Danis, sophomore Tommy Carrico, sophomore Dylan Ramsey, junior Joe Haydon and sophomore Michael Pinsonneault will also be teeing it up for MSU.
Other teams in the event include OVC members Tennessee Tech, Eastern Illinois, Murray State and UT Martin, plus Southern Illinois, Northern Kentucky, University of the Cumberlands, University of Pikeville, Bellarmine, Trevecca Nazarene, Walters State and John A. Logan College.
The teams will play 36 holes on Monday and conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday. There will be a shotgun start each day at 9 a.m. EST.
