MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The Morehead State baseball team hosts Berea College on Tuesday at Allen Field. The game is a 4 p.m. ET scheduled first pitch.
The Eagles are coming off a series loss to Mid-American Conference foe Miami University last weekend. MSU was swept in the Saturday twinbill, 3-1 and 6-5, before winning the finale 15-2. The Eagles recorded 19 hits in the 15-run series ender. Outfielder
Taylor Pickens led the offensive barrage in game three recording three hits and driving in three runs.
Freshman starter
Blake Smith earned a victory in his first collegiate start Sunday. Smith has six appearances this season and has two wins.
MSU equaled its 2011 win total Sunday as the Eagles notched their 10th victory. The Eagles did not record their 10th win until May 15 last year. The win came against conference rival Murray State, MSU's opponent following the midweek matchup against the Mountaineers.
Jay Sorg has never faced Berea College in his previous four seasons at the helm of the Eagle baseball program.
