CHARLESTON, W. Va. -- The Morehead State baseball team will travel to Charleston, W. Va., for a mid-week tilt with West Virginia at Appalachian Power Park on Tuesday.
The Eagles (9-27, 2-11 OVC) will be looking to turn things around, as they enter the game with a 12-game losing streak. The Mountaineers come into the matchup with a 20-17 record.

A few notes heading into the contest:
• The Eagles have dropped 18 of their last 20 after starting the season 7-9.
• MSU is currently ninth in the Ohio Valley Conference standings at 4-11.
• The Mountaineers are 4-5 in their first season in the Big 12 Conference.
• Sophomore first baseman Kane Sweeney has reached base in 27 straight games for the Eagles, the longest such streak for MSU this season. The last time he failed to reach base was on Feb. 16 at Louisville.
• Senior catcher Drew Williams jacked his fifth home run of the season over the weekend, leading MSU in that category.
• Sweeney leads the team in batting average after 32 games, at .370. He ranks fourth in the OVC in batting average, while ranking second in total hits with 50 and fourth in on base percentage at .463.
• Senior shortstop Chase Greenwell (.307) is the only other Eagle hitting above .300. He has the most multiple-hit games by an Eagle with 16, while driving in multiple runs in six different contests.
• As a team, Morehead State has a .280 batting average, while driving in 140 runs on the season.
