MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The Morehead State women's basketball team will finish a busy three-game week Sunday with a home contest against Georgia State. The game tips off at 2 p.m. ET at Johnson Arena.
The Eagles (3-5) will be looking to halt a two-game losing skid, while the Panthers (3-2) will strive to do the same after starting the year 3-0. Georgia State plays in the Sun Belt Conference.
Tickets, which are $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 2-12, are available

Georgia State holds a 2-0 lead in the all-time series. The Panthers defeated the Eagles in 1996 and 2012, both in Atlanta.
Tough Day at the Office
Morehead State has the 46th toughest strength of schedule, according to Women'sBasketballState.com RPI ratings. The Eagles have faced four teams, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio and Akron who rank among the top-120 nationally in RPI.
How Grand It Is
• Senior guard Almesha Jones became the 22nd member of Morehead State's 1,000-point club Dec. 3 at Ohio. She now has 1,031 career points.
Keeping Up With the Joneses
• Almesha Jones ranks second in the nation in assists (66) and assists per game (8.2).
• Jones has three 20-point efforts this season, including a season-best 21 at Ohio Dec. 3. She has 41 points in the last two games.
Chasing History
• With six more steals, Almesha Jones will become the first player in program history with at least 1,000 career points, 400 assists and 200 steals.
Shay Hey Kid
• Sophomore forward Shay Steele ranks second in the Ohio Valley Conference in blocked shots per game (2.4).
• Steele leads MSU with six double-figure scoring efforts.
Almost Automatic
• Senior forward Casey Ryans leads the OVC in field goal percentage (.600).
• Ryans would be ranked in the top 20 nationally but has not made enough shots to qualifty on the NCAA chart.
Eriel Act
• Freshman forward Eriel McKee has scored in double figures in all five collegiate games.
• She became the first MSU player since 2006 to score in double figures in her first collegiate game when she had 20 at Norfolk State.
A for Effort
• Sophomore guard Aaliyah Wells tied her career high with 14 points at Akron on Dec. 5 and established a career high with seven rebounds against the Zips.
