MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The Morehead State soccer team opens Ohio Valley Conference play this weekend. The Eagles battle Belmont on the road Friday at 5 p.m. ET. They will return home to face Austin Peay Sunday at 1 p.m.
Sunday's match will be a "Salute to Armed Services". $1 tickets are available to current and former military personnel.
Belmont enters the weekend at 3-3-2 overall, while Austin Peay is 1-7-0.

Fight On!Morehead State tied Xavier 0-0 last Friday and dropped a 1-0 decision at Wright State Sunday. The Eagles doubled up Xavier in shots-on-goal Friday night, but neither team found the back of the net.
Champions Aren't Born; They're MadeMorehead State owns five OVC championship trophies. The Eagles have won the regular season title twice (2009, 2010) and claimed three tournament championships (2008, 2010, 2013).                                                                           
They Come At All AnglesThe Eagles doubled up Xavier in shot-on-goal last Friday night. Morehead State peppered the Xavier net with 16 total shots, including 10-on goal. MSU totaled 10 shots at Wright State.
A Whole Lotta CornersMorehead State leads the Ohio Valley Conference with 52 corner kicks this season. Morehead State had 13 last weekend while only allowing one combined to both opponents.
N2 The NetJunior goalkeeper Elizabeth Floyd secured three Xavier shots on Friday, recording her second shutout for the season, 2-0. Despite three saves in Sunday's match, Morehead State fell to Wright State.
The Man In ChargeHead Coach Warren Lipka is in his sixth season at Morehead State with a record of 49-47-16. He is in his 22nd season as a collegiate head coach with a career mark of 230-184-45. Lipka was named the OVC Coach of the Year in 2010, 2011 and 2013.
