Notes heading into the weekend:

Fast Start
Morehead State picked up two wins in its first four matches. That's the quickest the program has reached two wins since 2005 when the Eagles won two of their first three matches.

Where Championships Happen
Morehead State owns five OVC championship trophies. The Eagles have won the regular season title twice (2009, 2010) and claimed three tournament championships (2008, 2010, 2013).

A Total Team Effort
MSU has received goals and assists from five separate players in its first four matches. Four players have taken at least seven shots.

The Comeback Kids
Morehead State has trailed in three of the first four matches. In the Northern Kentucky contest, the Eagles tied the match in the second half, and in the Ball State matchup, MSU scored with less than two minutes left in regulation to force overtime.

Fame and Flory
Senior forward Jade Flory, who was named the 2013 OVC Offensive Player of the Year, tallied her second career "hat trick" at Illinois-Chicago. The Youngstown State transfer scored all three of MSU's goals in the first half. She scored 14 goals last year, including three against Eastern Kentucky.

Super Sophomore
Sophomore forward Angela Black, who earned OVC Freshman of the Year in 2013, now has eight career goals. She scored her first goal this season versus Bowling Green and notched a match-tying goal last weekend at Ball State.

Down on the Corner
Morehead State ranks second in the Ohio Valley Conference with 4.25 corner kicks per match.

N2 The Net
Junior goalkeeper Elizabeth Floyd has played all 400 minutes this season in goal. She has posted a 1.12 goals against average after registering a 1.05 average last season.

Seniors Aplenty
After having only one senior in 2013, the roster features 10 this season. Eight are four-year players, while Holly Tilley and Lindsey Oettle are redshirt seniors.

The Man in Charge
Head Coach Warren Lipka is in his sixth season at Morehead State with a record of 46-45-15. He is in his 22nd season as a collegiate head coach with a career mark of 228-184-45. Lipka was named the OVC Coach of the Year in 2010, 2011 and 2013.
